Abstract
|
|
|
Pulmonary mucormycosis (phycomycetes) is an uncommon fungal infection
complicating diabetes mellitus, leukemia, lymphoma, and other debilitating diseases.
Although the infection usually progresses rapidly, chronic pulmonary lesions have been
reported, and clinical manifestation may be indolent, particullarly on DM and renal
failure.
This 52 years old female patient with pulmonary mucormycosis was indolent and had
chronic pulmonary lesion, and was successfully treated with resectional surgery and
diabetic control.
